Coyote Glaze Contest Winners 2012

Thanks to everyone who took the time to enter our contest. We received hundreds of entries, many of which deserved to win, but we had to pick just five, so here they are!
First Place: by A Bit Off Center (Rae Brown and Julie Rogers.) Teapot is thrown and sodium silicate is added to crack the sidewalls. After bisque firing, Coyote Black is brushed onto the cracked area, allowed to dry, and wiped off. Then the rim, handle and foot are painted black and the body is painted with Stormy Sea.
Second Place: "Lucchese Boot" by Patricia Kobelin. Leopard Shino, Espresso
Bean, and Clear on Axner Elizabeth w/Specks clay.
Third Place: Graphic Bowl, by Doug Harries. Brushed; Blue Purple, Mottled Blue, Pansy Purple, Red Gold, Goldenrod Shino, Cobalt Blue, Black, Gun Metal Green, and Drops of Archie's Base.
Fourth Place by Terri Balden. Desert Sage, Shino, Black, Red, Light Shino, Violet and Pansy Purple, all brushed.
Fifth Place by Susan O'Connor. Porcelain carved with brushed Oxblood.
