Groups of 3 or more only
Call to Schedule a class!
Have you ever wanted to try making your own bowls, cups, and plates? Now you can!
Come to Coyote Clay School and Studios for a lesson in throwing on a pottery wheel. You don't need to have any previous experience, so it's perfect for beginners. It's also great for those who have taken pottery classes before and want to get their hands on clay again.
Each class is limited to 10 students, so you will have lots of one-on-one time with your teacher. Classes are open to ages 10 and up, but children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Three hours on the potter's wheel, including clay, use of tools, and bisque, costs only
$34 dollars! Students in this class can also come back to glaze and fire their bisqued pieces at student rates, and get a 10% discount when signing up for our six week class.

Monday thru Thursday 6: to 9:00 pm
Wednesday 1:00 to 4:00 pm

Firing fees are $1.50 per pound; this covers bisque firing, glazes and glaze firing in the gas or electric kilns (2.00 per pound for soda firing). Clay and tools are extra, but are available at the school. Classes are ongoing, so you can start your six weeks whenever you are ready. If you fall in love with it, sign up for six more weeks! Currently scheduled classes are; Evenings from 6 to 9, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; Wednesday afternoon from 1 to 4, and Saturday afternoon from 3 to 6. Instruction typically includes basic hand building (pinch, coil and slab), throwing on the potters wheel, decorating, glazing and firing, but our classes are informal, so you focus on what like best.
